How is Stony Brook with transfer credits?

I've heard horror stories where schools accepted close to none credits from other schools. I'm transferring from a local community college.
Can someone send me a link to Stony Brooks general education requirements? I couldn't find them.

ENG101: Composition 1
Urban Study-Community Heath
General Psychology
Developmental Psychology
ENG102: Writing Through Literature
Art of Theatre (Humanities course)
American Sign Language 1
Human Anatomy and Physiology 1

Is Stony Brook good with accepting credits from other schools?

We’re generally pretty open on transfer credits, at least for core requirements.

Core: [Stony Brook Undergraduate Bulletin - Fall 2012 - Degree Requirements](http://sb.cc.stonybrook.edu/bulletin/current/policiesandregulations/degree_requirements/index.php)

Articulation (Suffolk/Nassau/Farmingdale): [Stony Brook University Transfer Office](http://www.stonybrook.edu/transfer/creditequivalencies.shtml)

Hope this helps!

The core classes you mention are the Entry Skills right? Thank you so much for the information! :D

Entry Skills and the “Diversified Education Curriculum.” From a practical standpoint, the core is fourteen categories of classes (Skills 1-4, DEC A-K) that you need to complete. No more than 52 total credits in theory.

Psych, for example, is a DEC F; WRT 101/102 as you list them likely fulfill DEC A and DEC B.
