Alright so right now I attend Polytechnic University in NY as a Business Tech. Management major. However, I really want to get into either Investment Banking or Asset Management and I was considering transferring to Baruch. The thing is that Polytechnic is merging with NYU in January and will become Polytechnic Institute of NYU. My question is what do you think? Am I best off staying at Polytechnic University or transferring to CUNY-BARUCH from the Spring?

anyone? really would appreciate your opinion! If you dont think Baruch is a good choice what is a good Finance school that you think I have a shot at?

Its very unlikely that you would enter banking from Baruch either...I would consider other schools if your sole purpose is to enter front office finance... And WTH i go to NYU stern and i did not know we were merging with polytechnic... Is it going to be our engineering arm?

Yeah it'll be the engineering school for NYU (its not finalized but its looking like it'll go through) You think I have a shot at Stern with my grades?

3.65+ will give you a good shot at stern. You could consider nyu cas which if you raise your Gpa slightly will give you a decent shot.... And they have I think a top 10 econ program... They are also pretty well recruited for front office finance positions like banking and s&t.

What about other top schools in the area (Northeast)? do I have a shot?
