Hmmm. The undergrad admissions office’s # is 413-585-2500. Based on the Smith directory, it looks like the # that called you is the main line for Smith. No idea what room 203 is, though!

I’m transferring from a big private university in MA, so I’m in a similar situation to yummycheese55 (although she got in, while I’m unsure!).

I also heard of another transfer applicant that was called today. Congrats to you and her! Room 203 could be room 203 in the admissions office (most likely) but yes, 413 is the right area code for Smith.

That’s what I was wondering too, but I’m thinking since it’s a college that they would just show the main contact line as their caller id. When I used that number to call them back I was given an automated message telling me to dictate the office I wish to speak to.

Well, they will probably try to call you back tomorrow, when the office is open. Keep an eye on your mail, though.

For sure! I’ll let you know. Also, thank you so much for all of your posting here on CC, SmithieandProud. You’ve been a great resource!

I finally got a call back, and I got in! I’m really surprised!

Congrats! Good job.

Hi guys,
I also applied to Smith to transfer. do they only call to notify, or they can also email? I am worried because I might not receive their call.

According to the admission director who I spoke to on the phone, she said they like to give out a congratulatory heads up to accepted students prior to their mailed acceptance letter. I didn’t receive any notification emails and my BannerWeb status hasn’t changed.

I’d recommend emailing the admissions director responsible for your geographical area and see if that helps. Best of luck!

chernabogsays, thank you. i did as you suggested. the only thing left is patiently wait…
