Transfer -- Do they notify you via e-mail or do you have to wait for a letter?

As a transfer student do they notify you via e-mail when you get accepted/rejected or do you have to wait for snail mail?

It should be up on the pathway by now. I was notified via the pathway and got an email a week or so later. My acceptance packet was lost in the mail so they have to send a new one out.

sorry to hijack the thread but GZAsuu, when did you submit your application and when did you receive your decision?

i’d guess i submitted in mid-january…? maybe. my decision was posted on the pathway around march 15th.

Ah, I submitted my application the 1st of March and it says within 30 days, so I’m hoping I find out tomorrow!

@GZAsuu So, just for clarification, you checked your pathway and found your acceptance before the packet and a week before the email?

As to everyone else, good luck! Hope to see you at Fall WILD!

I called the admissions office the morning I was notified. I checked the pathway before the phone call, and it had yet to update. After speaking to the transfer counselor, my pathway had been updated (although she said it would update later on in the week). That may have just been a strange coincidence, however. But yes, I still have yet to receive my packet, as the first one they sent me was ostensibly lost in the mail. The email followed the pathway update.

@GZAsuu One more question: when did you receive the email from WUSTL that said your application is complete and that admissions decisions will be sent out in approximately 30 days? I completed my application in December, but didn’t get the email until March 8.

Hrmm… I’m not really sure. Mid-March, I would assume. But my pathway had updated about two days after my application was complete— in the middle of January or so— and it said something along the lines of, “Your application is complete! Please check back often for important updates.”
