Hello,
I am international student studying in Texas community college (major in business), and I want to transfer to hospitality management major. I am thinking about going to University of Houston or Cal Poly Pomona. I know that Houston is a big city and the program in UH is top-notch, however CPP is not too far from LA (hello, it’s LA) and OC, and it also has great business program. Both schools have kinda the same tuition and fees for international students (maybe Houston is somewhat cheaper, not too much) and my GPA is 3.9.
I also have another option which is Penn State, I love the school and the location, I know it’s in the middle of nowhere but it’s not too far from pittsburgh and Phillies,NYC or DC are just about 3-4h drive, and the school spirit and college town are what I love about PSU. However, the cost of attendance is the huge difference from the other 2. I mean I dont want to pay like $50000 a year for a degree that I hardly can get back for my career.
So I really need some advice from you guys. UH and CPP are more affordable ( but I dont want to live in TX tho), and I really really love Penn State and also the feeling of east coast. Moreover, another key factor is public transportation, I dont like driving by myself.
Thank you !
