Penn State or Purdue for hospitality management?

I don’t know which college to choose for this major. They both have similar programs but Penn State is ranker higher in National Universities (48 vs 63). I haven’t visited either one so I don’t know which campus is nicer and have more stuff to do. Which one would you recommend?

Which would be cheaper for you?

They both would cost almost the same. I’m an international student by the way.

Have you already been accepted and are trying to choose? If not, there’s no reason to only apply to one. Google their Common Data Sets to see how your stats stack up.

I’m applying to both

Why are you choosing then? Apply to both, see where you get in, then choose.

I got accepted to both which one should I choose

Both are great schools. Don’t worry about rank. Not a huge difference at all. The deciding factor between the two should be the cost since both have similar programs. Or choose by what state/region you see yourself living after you graduate. If you are out of state for both, and I believe the cost is the roughly the same for both for out of state tuition, then a visit is best to see where you fit in.

My son attends PSU, and we are in state.
My niece attends Purdue, and she is in state for her school. A great education with an affordable tuition.
If I could pay what my brother pays for Purdue I would have chosen that over PSU. He is shocked how much we pay. I say to him that he is very lucky.

Sorry, just read that you are an international student. I'll leave what I said for other students in similar situations. I guess a visit is not an option. Google/Youtube as much as you can to get a rough idea about campus life.
