<p>Hey guys! I'm from India. I got accepted in computer engineering at UIUC recently. At the time of applying, I didn't really know the difference between Computer Engineering and Computer Science, but as I researched more and more, I found out that my interest lies more in Computer Science. I still haven't replied to their offer as I'm waiting for offers from other Universities. But it is highly likely that I will be attending UIUC this fall. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to change from CE to CS before I start college?</p>
<p>Cannot change before starting. First opportunity to change will be applying for transfer mid-way through second semester to transfer into sophomore year. There is no guarantee a change can be made and it will depend on grades at the time and number of openings in CS.</p>
