Hi! I transferred to The University of Miami Fall 2012 as a Public Relations major (intend to go to Law or Business school). I earned a C in an economics course and my starting GPA is now a 2.9. I have 55 credits left to graduate so I have some time to improve my GPA, but not much.

Unfortunately I don't have any grants or scholarships so my parents are paying for this out of pocket so it will come out to $120,000 once I'm done. However I'm very close to my family so I'm homesick and I fly back home at least once a month. I've looked into transferring to George Mason University where tuition is only about $4,700 per semester.

Is it worth staying at UM for a PR degree or would I do just as we'll coming from GMU? Would UM open more doors to better law schools?.....considering my GPA would the schools rank even affect my admission into a decent grad school?
