Hello, I am a student at a community college, and I am planning to transfer to a four year university after I get my Associate's of Arts degree (this is for two years, I have attended for two semesters). I currently attend without any expense (thanks to my scholarship) so I can save on getting my core classes out of the way. I also did not do well in high school, so this is my chance to understand and take advantage of what I am capable of. I REALLY want to go out of state. I have been doing very well in school, in fact better than I would have imagined. Later on throughout high school I learned I had a learning disability and ADHD. High school was a very hard time for me because I did not think I had any potential, and did not have any confidence or self esteem as a student. I always knew something was different about me, but I honestly just thought I was unintelligent. Thanks to the community college I attend, it has helped me reach a higher potential because it has better programs that pay special attention to students like me. I also decided to advocate for myself and love who I am as a person because it is a choice, not fate. Now, that being said (that I have been doing well in college), this has opened new transfer options that I am taking into serious consideration. A couple of the schools I have looked into are the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the University of Rochester. The University of Rochester recently sent me a recruiting email and I looked into the school, and absolutely ended up loving it. The University of Michigan I really like as well, but they look into high school and ACT scores which significantly worries me. Since these options are new to me, I'm afraid of my chances of getting in. One last thing I would like to mention is that I am planning on double majoring in Philosophy and Legal Studies, and minoring in German. I would like to go into International Law. Here is a basic run down of my current academic career:

I currently have a 3.9 accumulative GPA
I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and also hold an officer position known as the Vice President of Scholarship
I am a member of the legal studies club
I am a member of the Global Justice Project (we do a lot of volunteer work)
The two semesters I have been there, I have been put on the Dean's List
I have been recently been presented an award concerning disability awareness

That is all I can think of right now. I guess I'm also wondering if joining the honors program (not society, I am already a member) would greatly benefit me as well. This would allow me to graduate with honors.

Feedback would be great. Please no negative comments, thanks!
