Hi like the title say i'm hoping to transfer into MHC by Spring 2013 and i'm getting into the application process already and I've written up a draft for my essay already and I would like if someone would take the time to read over and help revise my essay. I would prefer someone who is already in the college but its not limited to just students of the college

hopefully I get a reply soon thanks

and if anyone is planning on transferring it would be nice to get to know each other during this time

Hey! You should try another board, because this one is pretty dead :/

i kind of notice it seems so different the last time I came here the cc sign next to mont holyoke always used to stay on yellow i’ll try posting on the womens college and essay thread or board whatever you call it

I know, it makes me sad. Good luck!

I can try reading it? I was admitted for Fall 2012 transfer if that helps (and I am currently going to attend).

oh awesome! sorry for replying back so late but i’ll e-mail it to you later on today :D

can you tell me about the whole process did you get an interview, did they provide you with a good financial aid award anything really would help

thanks again

Sorry for the late reply. To explain my process I first have to explain that I did apply for Mount Holyoke my senior year of college and was waitlisted. Many colleges keep older files in case they are needed again (so I am going to assume this is what happened in my case). I did interview senior year and thought it went well. But my hs gpa wasn’t exactly too high so I think that had a factor in my waitlist. At college, I went to one of the colleges of the five college consortium and received a 3.9 gpa my first semester. I also had good recommendations from my professors so I’m sure that might have helped? I am not sure. The strangest thing about my application is that I didn’t finish my supplement but I was still accepted so I guess they liked the other parts of my application enough.

As for financial aid, I did get a decent financial aid package (although I wish it was a bit more).
