transfer housing

<p>what's the deal with transfer housing?</p>

<p>housing.umich.edu claims that my only residence options are baits, northwood 3, henderson, and the martha cook building.</p>

<p>i'd really like to live in west or south quad and would rather not have to deal with contract reassignment.</p>

<p>i haven't received admission notification yet and will obviously be signing up for housing much later than the rest of the incoming sophomore class, probably sometime in march. i'm afraid that all of the dorms will be picked over.</p>

<p>does anyone have any experience dealing with transfer housing?</p>

<p>i got west quad but i had to go through contract reassignment. it really isn't all that bad, and you can do it all via email if you live more then an hour away from UM as i did</p>
