Michigan Transfer Housing?

So i guess since i am a guy there seems to be one option for housing readily in the contract they give us - northwood apartments - how hard is it to get a dorm on South Quad? - that is where everyone i know lives and since i am LSA it is a hell of a lot closer to the classes i will be taking (or so i have been told). I know there is something for buying someone else's contract or something but i looked and they were all North Quad stuff. Does that just leave me up a creek? granted it is only halfway through the semester but still. rather get it all done sooner rather then later.

I highly doubt that you can get South Quad spots. South Quad fills up the quickest out of all the dorms because because they are usually reserved for honors students and athletes.

So you have looked and there are north quad spots? I just now got my admissions decision! Congrats to both of us for getting in!

Nice dude... yeah i looked and there were only spots in North quad. Baites (sp?) and the northwood apt complex. so if that is all i have to deal with i'm just going to get an off campus apt or something.

Do you know how you would go about getting an apartment? Wouldn't leases usually be a year?

Email them or say on your housing contract that you want to live in Traditional Dorms. I did this and went from being placed in Bates to being in a dorm on Central Campus

Oh okay sweet. I was talking to some kid in West Quad about taking over his contract... assume he is being moved out. but if that fails i'll do that.

does anyone know how hard it is to get a northwood III apartment for next year?

snwrider, did you find out where you are living? I got my contract and will be in Markley. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I think like 98% of students in there are first-year (freshman ?). I would rather get to meet more sophomores and such, but not much I can do about it I guess. I could have been put somewhere worse.
