Our daughter’s liberal arts school has decimated the fine arts department facilities. Joni Mitchell style : “they’ve paved Paradise and put in a parking lot”. She is going to give them one more semester, but is thinking of transferring to a lower cost CA school for fine arts (specifically sculpture, painting). She loves traditional art, but isn’t averse to also covering digital art as long as the primary focus of the school isn’t conceptual.
What do you think of your school? She’s trying to decide between an art school such as Laguna College of Art and Design, or a traditional school program where she can also take classes in entrepreurship and nonprofit management.
