I understand that Williams checks all areas of your academic, extracurricular, and so forth. I'm really worried that my high school grades will deeply affect their decision making process. I had a 3.3 GPA in high school (9-12) and a 1700 on my SATs.

Now, I'm dedicated in increasing my GPA to a minimum of 3.6 and extracurriculars as well. Can anyone give me some advice/tips on my chances of transfer? I know their acceptance rate for transfers are extremely low. Any tips/advice would be wonderful!

I do not want to sound disrespectful, but from everything I’ve heard, you would have no chance at all with those stats.

You would need a 4.0 and fab reqs to have any chance.

I think you guys are being negative here. Give this guy some prop… check this out from the Main Williams College site

In reviewing transfer applications, the Committee on Admission considers carefully the applicants academic record in college work (a 3.5 average within a strong program is usually expected of successful transfer applicants). In addition to materials and records from an applicants current college and the required recommendations, we require an official copy of the secondary school transcript and SAT scores.
