Transfer next year?

<p>Hypothetically, what would it take to transfer into Columbia for fall 2011 if someone got into a university with these kind of stats out of an elite private high school in NJ.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5 (UW), Top 20 percent
ACT: 29</p>

<p>What would he or she need to do during their freshman year somewhere else to have a good transfer shot?</p>
