Hello everyone. I am a rising freshman at a state school which is ranked top 20 national universities and I am seeking advice on transferring into Columbia during my sophomore year (so applying at end of freshman year). I didn't apply to Columbia before.

My high school stats:
High school GPA was not the top of the class, but was top 20 among a class of 500+: 4.30 (weighted), 3.84 (unweighted). Would you recommend that I take the SAT again during my freshman year, b/c my previous SAT scores were not as good as plus they had expired. I am pushing myself to get at least 2300+ and a 3.9+ in my first year's GPA at my current school. If there is a huge increase in SAT score, would this be beneficial to my chances at getting accepted? Also, do I have to list out my AP scores? If I didn't do well, should I not list them?

When applying, should high school honors and extracurriculars be put onto the application? Because I will be at college for one semester and would not be able to develop much leadership positions, can I list leadership positions from high school? I am trying to do internship in the summer, would this be good on my resume?
