<p>The website says that GW starts notifying Fall transfers around May 1... however I applied a long time ago and now when I go onto my status check my status says that my application is "Under Review." What does this mean and does it mean that I will hear soon if I am admitted? Thanks.</p>
<p>Under review just means that they're going through applications and making decisions... It doesn't mean you'll be hearing from them any sooner, sorry (I'm a freshmen applicant and my status has been "under review" since January). I'd stick with May 1st, and if it comes earlier you'll just be pleasantly surprised.</p>
<p>I'm in the same boat as you, pinkdillo. I actually applied for the Spring 2007 term but I'm only a freshman (I only had my high school credentials ready to be sent at the time of applying) so they deferred my application to the Fall 2007 term. I've been waiting since I applied in November...</p>

<p>Yea, I'm not going to get my hopes up but ya never know. The same thing actually happened to me when I applied to NYU, so I've been waiting for them too. I posted on the NYU messageboard asking when transfers would start finding out and the date the admissions person gave me was actually two weeks sooner than what it said on NYU's website, so I'm hoping GWU also will bump up the date.</p>
