Schools I'm looking at: WWU, PLU, and CWU.

Projected major: Music Performance - Violin

HS GPA: 2.94 (Made a few bad choices on classes and that tanked my GPA from my former 3.45) Graduated in 2012
1 Quarter of CC GPA: 2.73
(Only took three classes first quarter, really just something to do while I prepare audition material, but struggled in Music Theory. Will go up next quarter, I'm sure.)

3 AP classes: AP World History, AP US History, and AP Literature and Composition.

Did not take the SAT. ACT: 25 comp.

ECs:
- High School Orchestra - 4 years, concertmaster for 3 years from sophomore year
- High School Pit Orchestra - 2 years (Freshman and Senior)
- Youth Symphony - 6 years/700+hrs, concertmaster for 2 years
- Adult Symphony Orchestra - 3 years/600+hrs
- Adult Symphony Orchestra #2 - 2 years

Awards/Honors:

I have a great letter of recommendation from my violin teacher, who is very influential in the area and knows the violin professors of PLU and WWU personally.
I also have a great letter of recommendation from my former orchestra teacher who has performed at Carnegie Hall and is also influential in the area.

My essay is solid and I'm confident in it.

I'm confident that my auditions will have pull in the music departments. Playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor and Bach's Partita in E major: Prelude.

My GPA is really my only worry for my applications. And it's also what's holding me back from submitting my applications. To be eligible for the PLU music scholarship I need to have both my audition and school applications in. I was hoping to wait for this quarter to end in mid-March before I sent it in so that my GPA would be higher, but it looks like I need to send it in ASAP. What would you say my chances are?
