Transfer options within my budget (Intend to major in CS)

As an international student I would like to start off at a community college in order to save as much money as possible. From my “research” I found out that community college OOS fees are almost the same for every CC in the nation except for the ones in Colorado that seem to be a bit more expensive. I’m okay with paying $370 per unit for CC courses. Now, the university i intend to transfer to must cost below $30k a year in tuition to fit within my budget.

This means that I have somewhat limited options. I intend to major in computer science which i know is a very competitive major at some universities. I am also aware of the fact that the state I choose to go to for CC will most likely be the state I stay in when transferring so the state needs some good options. I also very much prefer universities with admission guarantee programs for transfer students. Living costs aren’t a problem.

With all of that said, here’s some of the options that I have found:

Going to CC in Arizona and transfer to ASU after 2 years. ASU has a guarantee program called “MAPP”

Going to CC in North Carolina and transfer to NCSU after 2 years. Pretty competitive for CS but also considered better than ASU.

Going to CC in California and after 2 years transfer to either SJSU, SDSU, CP SLO or CP Pomona. CP SLO, very competitive for CS, maybe an unrealistic goal. I dont know much about the other ones.

Do you know of any other good options within my budget? What do you think about my plans? How competitive are SDSU, SJSU CP Pomona for cs transfers? Right now Arizona and ASU feels like the best choice because of the safety the MAPP program brings. I really like NCSU too but I don’t know about the competitiveness.

Hello, I am an international student with the same budget as you.
I started at a community college in California called Las Positas College, and I just got accepted to attend SJSU this Fall 2018 for Computer Science.
