I am transferring to UMich in the fall as a junior from another 4-year university and I'm required to attend a 1-day transfer orientation this spring/summer. The transfer website gives some good info about what to expect during orientation, but I was wondering if there's anyone here who's been through it that could tell me what to expect in more detail.

I'm from Ann Arbor and my parents teach at UMich so I basically grew up on the campus... I already know my way around and don't have many questions about the actual campus. All I need to do is take the placement exams, enroll, and get my MCard. But they say the program takes the whole entire day, so... what should I expect to be doing between those few activities? Tests/registration alone won't take the whole 8 AM - 6 PM time frame they mention... so what else does the 1-day Transfer Orientation involve?

Thanks!
