Transfer Potential ???

I was really just looking for some insight to what are my odds to transfering to top tier schools like the top 25 liberal arts colleges or universities.
Any opinions if I could qualify for any which ones might I have a realistic shot at
I am currently a freshman at liberal arts college which is ranked in the 80s or 90s for liberal arts and is a tier 1

My current GPA is 3.8
High School I had a weighted 4.4 and was ranked 7 out of 125
ACT: 25
High School decent amount of clubs
College involved in student government and philosophy club

Any thoughts?
Ivy League or top 15 schools?

Your ACT is too low for Ivy League or top 10 schools, but your GPAs are so solid that I think you have a great chance at top 20-25 schools and a solid chance at some of the top 15 for sure.

Look at the ones that are score optional, for transfers.

The National Center for Fair & Open Testing | FairTest

and there may be more. JHU, eg, is score optional for transfers, even though they require scores for freshmen.

Any idea about likeihood on a Georgetown, Northwestern, Cornell, John Hopkins, Wake Forest, Grinnell

Where do I find that list on that site?

I would suggest you either retake act(obviously it's too late now if you want to apply to fall 09 transfer) or wait till junior standing to transfer.

If you are talking about the FairTest site, go to the tab near the top that says "University Testing" and then choose "Optional" from the drop down menu.

Your hs and college stats would fit you into the schools you mention. But it is impossible to gauge your "chances" (it always is; so I never try ;) ). There's just too much more to it - your intended major and how that fits with the schools' situations, your prof recs, your essays. The ACT score is not so great for the highly selective schools.

I don't know the transfer acceptance rates for each of those schools. For the ones with fairly high acceptance rates (>30%), you would certainly be a competitive candidate. For others, you might be too; but the other factors make it impossible to guess.

Hey thanks for all the info guys; anymore is always appreciated
Does it matter when you apply to transfer like should you apply early in a year or is latter fine to like january or feb?
The other question is will my ACT score matter less if I wait another year before attempting to transfer or should I consider retaking it or both?
