Transfer Q: most recent GPA or combined GPAs for two different schools in application

Hi, my question if any other transfer students know the answer: does UCLA look only at the most recent GPA of transfer applicants or would they combine GPAs from the two schools in my academic history to make a new cumulative GPA for their standards?

I ask this because I had a low GPA at art school of 2.5 years there and now I’m doing well at CC (3.9) and I’m concerned that the combination of my two GPAs is still low, whereas viewed separately or with an emphasis on most recent…

Anyways, thanks for any help!

They’ll consider everything, but if you’ve shown serious improvement they will definitely recognize that upward trend.

Is the art school transferable coursework?
