Hi! I am currently enrolled in a public state college, working towards my AA. I had a great first semester, but due to personal difficulty failed all but one class my second semester, it tanked by GPA but I am currently retaking all the failed classes, and am doing well, I will most likely finish them all with A’s this 6 week summer term, so my GPA will be a 3.54. My application has already been submitted to a larger, private college to transfer, but I was waiting until the end of spring semester to send in my transcripts, as I didn’t anticipate the personal issues to impede on my school. The school I am applying to has an average transfer GPA of 3.1, so after summer term I will be above that quite a bit. The website says the school I’m trying to transfer to looks at cumulative GPA, so I am wondering if I will still have a good shot at being accepted, since I am retaking all the failed courses and doing extremely well! My application is submitted already, so I can’t write about my personal issues in it… Thanks so much!
