What up. I'm looking to know what are the odds of getting some good merit aid in the transfer process. I was looking over some of the scholarships and a lot of it requires being a Pell recipient, which I barely missed the cut off for. I got in as a freshman, but didn't get any coin, so I'm heading to UMD as they gave me enough to have no debt commuting. But yeah I'm still looking to transfer anyways 'cause I would like to complete a BS in Nuclear Engineering, which isn't available in my state. I'm looking to transfer after a year, 'cause after that credits wouldn't transfer and my MechE program would start diverging. Here are my stats: 2310 SAT (800M) 3.99 HS GPA So what type of performance would be expected academically in order to for me to get a sizable (like 10K+) merit scholarship or that and grants during my first year @ UMD. Like, will they care about ECs, or just GPA? 'Cause the ECs killed me in the first application process. Yeah, this was not a well organized post, but any info would be helpful.
