I am a low income (EFC of 0) freshman from New York State currently attending a SUNY school for accounting, seeking to transfer after my sophomore year ends. I had a 3.65 GPA my freshman year, have 68 credits including high school AP credits, and had good high school grades and a 1460 SAT score. Looking for potential transfer schools that would meet a significant chunk of my financial need as a transfer (I’ve heard this isn’t very likely, but still want to try and see what I get) as well as potentially merit scholarship money. Also would want a good accounting program at any school. Not expecting anything but wanted to give it a shot!
Since you’re in-state for NY, I’d suggest Cornell as one. They’ll meet full need as a transfer. Dyson is pretty hard to get into though, so it may be a long shot unless you apply for another school at Cornell. Emory is another option. I think USC meets 100% of need, but I’m not sure if that’s true for transfers. All 3 have accounting majors. Just look up a list of schools that meet full need and find the schools with undergrad business programs / accounting majors.
