Transfer: should I put SESP or WCAS?

I’m applying to transfer for the fall quarter and one part of the application that I’m stuck on is which school to put as my main interest. I know that you can change schools once you get in, but I don’t want to hurt my application. The major I’m interested in is the Human Development and Psychology Services (HDPS) from the School of Education and Social Policy, so it would make sense to put SESP on my application, but I know that’s the smallest school at Northwestern and I’m worried that it will be more competitive and/or there will be less spots available than WCAS. On the other hand, most people are probably applying to WCAS, so this could be a way to make my application stand out…

Thoughts?

Put down the school you want to get into, since your passions - which will be shown in your application - will match up best with that school. Admissions officers will see that, which should give you a boost as opposed to having a mismatch or less passionate application. Don’t stress about this.

@thatrunnerkid Makes sense, thank you, I’m probably overthinking a lot of things but I just really want to get in…

Yeah, not overthinkting things can be tough, I know. Just do your best.
