Im am a freshman at Ualbany and its fun and stuff but i was going over finances and figure out that i would save a ton of money if i transfer to Cuny Queens or Hunter. The only problem is that idk if i should stick it out the whole year here or just one semester. I came here to get the college experience and at times i be havin fun but then at times i wish i was back home but my classes didnt start yet so im just goin around in circles right now!

I was wondering about the spring/fall transfer too. I don’t think Jason got around to asking his question, But here’s mine. The third semester marks the beginning of the second/sophomore year, so in order to transfer in as a sophomore, do you start applying during the second semester of your current college? Which transfer is this-Spring or Fall? Which one has a higher chance of being accepted?

jason - i think you should stick the year out, but if money is a very big concern, then apply for spring

noones - yes, you apply during the spring of your freshman year for the fall of your soph year. fall generally has more spots open, so it’s better to apply then.

thanks for the advise but im transferring in the spring
