Transfer student- housing

Hi,
I am transferring to OSU as a sophomore. I’m not sure which dorms to live in. I want to live on north but am looking for a place that is social as well so that I can meet people. I also dont want to be surrounded by freshman. So, I was thinking Blackburn house, Haverfield, or the new residence on 10th. I think the new residence is primarily a sophomore/upperclass dorm, but I don’t really know what to expect with it or if people would be open to meeting new people. If you could please give me some feedback, that would be great!!

Hmm I’m wondering this as well. I already sent my housing application for Jones Tower, Archer House, forget the third… and Worthington Building. Not sure if any of those are good picks lol, but I also requested a single as my first preference. I am also coming in as a transfer. What state are you transferring from?

Same here transfer student from Los Angeles…hopefully I receive a good dorm

transfer from Detroit right here. I have no clue where to live haha i heard “East is the place to live” whatever that means…any advice?

Well east means off campus. It is cheaper but on campus is better for meeting people

If anybody is trying to live on east campus my house needs one more housemate. Rent would be $490/month plus utilities. Were 4 laid back sophomore guys, 2 engineers, a construction management major, and a goofy off kid who’s just happy to have a good time. If ya wanted to come over and check it out i’d be down any night and we could kick back and have a couple brews. I’d even show ya around campus if you wanted. 1971 Summit.

My son is living his sophomore year (this coming semester) at University Village. It is just as expensive as the dorms, and no food included! Won’t do that again. He lived at Lincoln Tower his freshman year and loved it.

Hi! I was a transfer also my sophmore year, If you want to meet people and get into the swing fast i would like on campus. I am graduating this December and i have 3 great roommates. they are all involved in either sorority life or groups. they can really help you get to know people fast! if you are interested let me know! 6612047372 Megan
