Transfer student in desperate need of advice

I have a decent amount of friends (10-20ish people) @TempeMom.

Also, we can pay 32k a year @mom2collegekids.

No, I don’t want to transfer twice. One time is the maximum. I said that I’m currently in NC (Someone usually asks about the state I’m in). I was considering UNC, but I wanted opinions.

And to clarify, I wasn’t talking about the University of Alabama. I wasn’t even talking about how smart the people around that area are. I was talking about the mindset of that particular region of America. You know… Bible belt and whatnot. Extremely conservative etc. It’s just not my thing.

Ok…so your parents will spend up to $32k. Then you need to work within that parameter. Likely if your parents will pay that much, you won’t get aid from most schools as a transfer student.

You should try for UNC. that’s a great school for the instate price. Have you looked at their transfer policies?

I’m glad to hear you have friends. It is still early days. I wonder if you generally have a hard time with transitions…to high school/camp etc…? Did you think this was a “garbage” place when you accepted?

Yes. I didn’t want to go to this school in the first place, but I was forced to do so. Just for the first year at least.
