Transfer student living at home questions!

Hey everyone I just have a few questions on getting ready for my time at Berkeley.

1) How to get there Bart or drive? I know parking on campus can have its problems but so can parking at my local Bart stations, so is it worth it buying a parking space on craigslist if I'm willing to spend the $?

2) Will I be ok taking 3 classes back to back to back in the same day? I know you have 10 minutes in between but will I get overwhelmed?

3)Whats a good work load for a poli sci major? I need to take ps 2, then thinking about taking ps 3 and either an upper division ps class or history 4a or both? Is 16 units too much for my first semester? What are some good classes to take?

4) What is some good ways to get involved? I'm a pretty big sports guy and am looking forward to intramurals! Since I dont really know anybody is going in as a free agent in these leagues the way to go?

Thanks for your help everyone!

I would Bart vs driving. I've never had a car at school but from friends experiences finding parking even with a permit is a hassle.

I wouldn't want to take 3 classes back to back. I would find it really overwhelming, but that is me. You will have time to get to classes because all classes start 10 minutes past the hour.

Can't answer, don't know anything about poli sci, sorry...

Intramural sports tend to fill up fast, so if you want to play sign up early. You can play as a free agent if there are spots open for you. Teams are formed a lot in clubs, frats and dorms. As far as getting involved otherwise, check out all the groups and clubs during Welcome Week. And if they are still available, get student football tickets.
Good luck.
