I am a transfer student applying for Fall admission.
My academic life has been a bit all over the place to say the least. In short: I transferred from a community college to University back in 2013. I made the foolish decision of failing the same statistics course two semesters in a row and was placed on academic suspension. Realizing my issue was in math, I decided to go back to community college in 2015 and took college algebra. I raised my GPA to 3.0 and graduated with my Associates Degree. Now I am looking to transfer to a different university entirely. Essays are obviously not required but I feel as though I should submit one given my past suspension.
My question is: I don’t know which essay I should complete (I am drawn toward Topic B but am unsure if I should choose it because I am not a former student with them, this is a new university for me) and I also haven’t been able to find any good examples of the format I should use to write the best essay possible.
Any essay suggestions or format help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The statement of purpose will provide an opportunity to explain any extenuating circumstances that you feel could add value to your application. You may also want to explain unique aspects of your academic background or valued experiences you may have had that relate to your academic discipline. The statement of purpose is not meant to be a listing of accomplishments in high school or a record of your participation in school-related activities. Rather, this is your opportunity to address the admissions committee directly and to let us know more about you as an individual, in a manner that your transcripts and other application information cannot convey.

If you are applying as a former student and were suspended for academic reasons, describe briefly any actions you have taken to improve your academic abilities and describe why you should be readmitted. If you are applying as a nondegree seeking or postbaccalaureate applicant, briefly describe the goals you wish to accomplish if admitted, including the courses you would like to enroll in.
