Transfer Student Spring 10

Anyone else applying to transfer into Brandeis for the upcoming spring’10 semester?

I did.
I got in!

Nice, that is good to read.

What is your SAT score? What college did you apply from? Are you going to accept the admissions offer? Baisically what are your stats? Most importantley when and how did you hear? I have not yet recieved a decision

I got my decision early because I called up the admissions office and told them I had heard from other colleges, but really wanted to know what Brandeis’ decision was before I sent in a deposit. The transfer coordinator told me I was in and I would get a letter later this week.

Stats:

Female,first-semester sophomore
SAT 1: 750 Reading, 730 Math, 760 Writing
SAT 2: 750 M. Bio, 740 US History

HS GPA: 2.55
College GPA: 4.00
Institution: Montgomery County Community College
Prospective major: Math

I am not sure whether I will accept because I am still waiting for other decisions.

I hope you get in!!

Nice, nice, your doing well for yourself thats what’s important. Thank you for the prompt replies.

What other colleges did you apply to if you don’t mind me asking?

Oh boy, haha.
Aside from Brandeis, I got into BU, Lehigh, and Barnard.

I am waiting on: Wellesley, Vassar, Hamilton, Colgate, CMU, Cornell, WashU, Amherst, Middlebury, and Emory.

Yourself?

I applied to Brandeis and Bard.

You on the other hand applied to some really nice schools, Middlebury is excellent hope you get in to those schools.

I will call Brandeis tommorow and ask them. Sadly I am not that confident

I am a first-semster junior at a four year private college. I have a 3.8 GPA however my highschool transcript and SAT score are not very strong. Nonetheless, I have and am doing very well at my current college my recs are amazing.

I wanted to ask, did you interview at Brandeis?

Brandeis and Bard are both very prestigious schools. I sort of applied everywhere because I got that “dear lord I am not going to get in anywhere” feeling, haha.
Since you’re a junior, the weight placed on your SAT and HS GPA will be considerably less than that for a sophomore applicant; so I wouldn’t worry too much. Recommendations tend to be the deciding factor, and can often single-handedly get a student into a school. So that’s good news.
I did interview at Brandeis. It was in August.

Thanks, again, I will let you know if I am accepted or rejected to Brandeis.

Goodluck

Good luck to you too!

I got into Brandeis, you have to come, thanks for all your help I wish you the best. Please let me know what schools admitt you and most importantly whether or not we are going to be school mates.

That’s awesome, Rockboy! Congratulations, I am so happy for you!!!
I will most definitely let you know; for the time being I think I am sending in my deposit for Brandeis and just waiting for the other decisions

for common app, do you have to do a secondary report for Transfers??

or is that only for regular freshman admission…

because under school forms it shows but it doesnt show in college details…
