I am in summer going into my freshman year of college at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. I have a 3.3 high school GPA and a 22 on my ACT. My family is moving down south and I want to be closer to them. I have Ole Miss as option for school. Love the campus, athletics, business school, it is just the best match for me. I was curious if anyone knows my chances of getting in for sophomore year transfer if I applied in my fall semester freshman year. Please give some feed back! Thanks!
It might help if you mention what your major is.

You shouldn’t have a problem with admission. They will evaluate your transfer grades as opposed to your high school record.
Try to do as well as you can academically at Grand Valley State, because Ole Miss often will waive out-of-state tuition fees. I’m not sure what their current policies are on that, but look into it. They’re good to out-of-staters (more so than most at least).
There is a non-resident alumni (not sure if parent or grandparent) award. If this applies, one can get $3 K off per year. There is a form to complete.
so you are saying that I should have no problem with getting admitted to the school?
Also, when should I apply if I want to transfer my sophomore year?
