I am currently attending the American University of Beirut, this is my second year here and am a sophomore now. However, I want to tranfer to a University in the states which offers a good business program. I have an average of 77% in 31 credits. During that period I wasn't working hard and this semester I can probably achieve an 85% I've been looking in USCs Marshall School of Business. Does anyone know how hard it is to get accepted to USC? And, I would appreciate it if you could give me a list of universities that I could apply to. And what I could do to help me get in.

However, you are going to need to do significantly better than 77% to get into USC (probably need an average of around 87% overall for USC)--and you'll need to do at least a slight bit better for most of these schools. (Hopefully that 85% this semester will help in that regard.) I suggest you look at applying to the ones ranked between 51 and 61 for your best chance at acceptance. In particular, I would think you would have good chances at Arizona State, Buffalo, and Central Florida.

Also, there are thousands of less selective colleges with business programs, if you can't get into the ones on this list.

Thanks a lot. I have looked into that list. One question I have do you know approximately what a 3.6GPA is equivalent to in terms of percentage?

heh, so i barely have any chances of getting in.
My fall 06 grades will be out on by early february. so i guess they wont take into consideration. I'm going to submit part 1 of the application. I don't know whether it would help but they state "Submitting the Part I has multiple benefits. Youll be identified early as a serious applicant."

I just got this email from ASU. I seriously don't understand what it takes to get into an american university.
"She has determined that you are admissible to the
university but not to the College of Business or Engineering because
your grade point average does not meet their minimum requirement. You
could be admitted into any other major or an undeclared major at this
time. Please let me know if you want to change your major. Thank you."

If I didn't get accepted at ASU's business school, I highly doubt that I would even be considered at USC.

Walid, if you get admitted to the university but not the program, you could always transfer in and study as an undeclared major until you bring up your GPA. Then apply for admission into the business program when you meet the requirements....
