Transfer to A&M after a year, or go straight to UTD for premed?

I'd have to deal with the hassle of taking courses this summer and spend a year at Blinn. I don't know how taking intro bio and chem community college classes fares well with med school admissions...

On the other hand, UTD has a good premed program I hear.

Both are fantastic schools and I'd love to attend either one. I'm just stuck on deciding which route is better to take.

Thanks all.

Community college classes are fine.
I have no idea what you’re referring to by “premed program” (you basically make it happen).

I’d go with the cheapest option for the most opportunities (especially ones that interest you).

By premed, I meant the prerequisite classes for med school admissions. I would be going for a Biology major and the intro courses would be taken at Blinn.

Thanks for the input.

Go to UTD. Excellent program and great scholarships.

yes! Based on several of my premed friends, unless you’re into the A&M campus culture etc., I would recommend you go to UTD for premed. You really will meet a lot of people like you…more diversity too, if you’re into that.
