I am interested to transfer to Baruch in NY. I wanted to know what GPA is required to get in. I have attend NYIT for a year where I left with a GPA of 2.5 and I just transferred to NCC where I have completed my first semester with a GPA of 2.5. I plan on transferring for Fall 09. What are the odds of me getting in????

Right now your odds are extremely slim. I apologize for the harshness, but I think it is better for you to have a realistic understanding of what you need to get in. As you know the CUNY schools are all quantitative. There is no chance for you to redeem yourself in an essay or in recommendations because they are not part of the admissions process. Before I began my transfer process I had been interested in Baruch as a possible option. I went to one of their information sessions (this was for spring 09) and was told the minimum GPA was 3.0. I have heard this has been moved up to 3.2. Baruch is definitely the most competitive of the CUNY's and thus has a higher GPA requirement. That being said, I encourage you not to loose hope. While this quantitative process works to your disadvantage at the moment you have it within your power to change that. Put more effort into your studies, bring your GPA up to a cumulative 3.2 and apply to Baruch.

Best of luck and I hope this was helpful.
