Transfer to Berkeley, enough units while applying?

Hi,

I just started attending Foothill College (community college), and am planning to transfer as a junior to UC Berkeley for the fall semester 2014.

My tentative schedule I have made has me completing an IGETC path with the minimum 90 unit requirement being completed before summer 2014.

However, applications are in October, and that is just the start of my fall quarter, meaning I will only be able to put <30 units on my application -- I think they also accept your fall grades while they are reviewing your application, which would help because by the end of fal I will have completed about forty seven units. Will they consider me with so few units only at the beginning of my community college year? Starting this spring was the only option I had, if I could have started earlier I would have.
I hope that makes sense, any insight would be great!
Thanks!

Your question is extremely specialized. Get the answers from the source, UCB’s admissions office. A phone call is in order.

You’ll be fine as long as you complete 60 units by the end of spring 2014.

How are you planning to complete 90 units that fast?

Summer classes, and about twenty units every quarter!
