Minimum units in Winter/Spring quarter for Transfer Students?

<p>Hi CC,</p>

<p>I applied to UC Berkeley, LA, and SD for Fall '14 admission as a Junior from De Anza Community College. This quarter I am taking only 2 classes (~8 units) because I don't need to take any more to finish IGETC and my major-related classes. Will this cause any problems? Are there any minimum-unit requirements for spring and winter quarters?</p>

<p>Urgent response is appreciated since the last date for class registration is very near.</p>

<p>Berkeley runs on the semester system, NOT the quarter system.</p>

<p>The minimum units is 13 for full time enrollment.</p>

<p>I had a friend taking 6 units (one class) his last quarter at Foothill, we both transferred to Berkeley EECS, so it’s certainly possible to do it. I don’t know any details, though he was stressed out over needing at least a B (3.0 semester GPA) in the class.</p>
