Transfer to Columbia: SAT, ACT question?

I am a student currently enrolled at a community college. My first year of community college I earned a GPA of 3.96. I also had strong high school GPA of 3.7. During my years in high school I was an active participate in my local chapter of the National Honors Society. In my first year and probably my second year of community college I will hope to keep my GPA in the 3.9 range. I also have and will continue to be apart of Phi Theta Kappa, the student newspaper, and the student activities board.

Anyway, my problem comes down to standardized test scores. Since I knew that I had to go to community college for at least a year (financial issues) I never took the SAT or ACT in high school.

Now that I am looking at applying to universities (I am particularly interested in Columbia), I find out that many schools want SAT, ACT scores even two years later. I know this is somewhat my fault for not researching ahead of time, but basically what are my options? Will Columbia allow me to take these standardized tests as a college student and send them when I apply for fall of 2011? Is there some type of alternative that anyone has heard of?

It's not just Columbia that wants SAT, ACT scores for transfers either, but many schools.

Advice, suggestions, opinions, and experience in this kind of problem are all welcomed!

Thanks!

There isn’t a single person that has been in this situation before?

Yep. Pretty much everybody realizes standardized testing is required. Unless you apply to ITT Tech or the University of Phoenix (where you only get rejected if you don’t have an email address).

That said, it’s a long shot going from CC to Ivy, buddy.

You can still take SATs and ACTs if your in college

Thank You, that is what I wanted to know jroc92.

Do many or all colleges accept test scores when you take them at a college level?
