Hey guys,

I’ve been thinking about transferring out of Cornell for a while now. I just finished fall semester of my sophmore year and I’m thinking of transferring for my junior and senior years. I am an economics major at Cornell with a pretty good GPA (3.75ish) and I play tennis on the cornell varsity team. I’m thinking about either transferring to Yale, Duke, or Rice. I know I can get into Rice and Yale through tennis and grades combined, Duke is another story, so right now I think I’m leaning towards either Rice or Yale. Here are the reasons why I’d want to go to Rice:

I can play on the tennis team

I’m pretty sure I can get in

Warm Climate

I’m pretty sure that I want to live in the south someday, so I want to experience living there now (I’m from Long Island)

What do you guys know about each of these schools economics programs (i.e. Where would it look best to graduate from with an economics degree?) Btw I am probably looking to get my MBA after college.

Also, not many people seem to know about Rice in the northeast. There was another topic about this, but I do not want my chances of being able to get a job hurt by transferring out of Cornell to go to Rice. Any advice/knowledge is appreciated. Thanks!
