Transfer to School of Ed or Stay in LSA?

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I'm an incoming sophomore. I wish to seek a secondary teaching certificate with a major in math and minor in german. I took 115, 116, 183, and 2 german courses during my freshman year and I plan to take 215 in the upcoming fall semester. My question is should I transfer to the school of education for my junior year to pursue that certificate? To gain a math teaching certificate, do I have to major in math in LSA or could I just transfer to SoE and complete it there?</p>

<p>I think you can get the teaching certificate and stay in LSA or you can transfer to SoE. You should talk to an adviser who may be able to help you. Also SoE has monthly open houses where you could find out more information.</p>
