Transfer to Stanford, Harvard, Dartmouth, etc..

Okay, so I’m a non-traditional transfer student. I attended a top 100 U.S. High School and I now want to attend a top U.S. university (Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, etc) and I will only attend a top university, however, I’ve had some discrepancies in my academic record. I have a fairly low GPA, because I continuously took 7-10 classes per quarter-- which I did, mainly because I was suffering from depression and being so busy helped alleviate the symptoms that was brought upon me by depression. However, I’m done with being depressed and I’m very smart, so my question is what are my chances of attending a top university, with a low GPA, a nearly perfect SAT score, and a letter of recommendation from a very renowned Dean at Stanford University-- who I’m very close to. Additionally, I’ve also launched a non-profit organization catering to individuals who are suffering from depression-- I’m very passionate about this issue.

Also, I’m applying as a history major, but I’m pursuing a career in law & medicine-- I currently work at a national law firm and I’ve most recently completed an internship at the Stanford School of Medicine and I will be looking forward to a Global Health internship at Stanford University, for this upcoming school year.

You didn’t actually ask a question, so we have to assume it’s the one implied by the subforum heading “What Are My Chances?”

I would say your chances are best at Stanford where you can test your theory of how influential that Dean is.

You come off pretty arrogant in this post, cant imagine how your essays sound…
