I plan to apply to Syracuse U Whitman school of management in December to start in the fall, 2015. I am about to start my forth semester at a local SUNY community college. After 39 credits completed I have a 3.92 GPA and currently involved in the schools business club and also participate in local charity organizations in my community. I know I'll be able to get a good letter of recommendation and am also confident with my essay writing. I am also a nontraditional, 27 year old military veteran and will be using the G.I Bill.

What do you think my chances are? Would there be any chance I would get rejected with that high of a GPA? Syracuse is my dream school, is there anything else I could do to increase my chances? Thanks!

Hi, I am transferring to syracuse for psych from Onondaga community college in the spring. My school had a 2+ 2 program where you automatically get accepted if you get a diploma from the community college. I think you only need a 2.5 to transfer so I would say your chances are good with a 3.92. Btw I only have a 3.1.

I went to chat with a transfer adviser at the Whitman school last summer; he said that he didn’t want to make any promises, but with my grades (which were slightly lower than yours) he would be surprised if I got rejected. I myself never ended up applying due to my distaste for the campus environment, but I think you have a better than average chance of getting in.
