Transfer Chances

I posted this in the transfer forum and while I got a lot of amazing responses, nobody seemed to be able to gauge my shot at getting in. Syracuse has quickly made its way to the top of my transfer list so I would greatly appreciate if you guys could help me out.

Transferring from a California Community College
Just entered 2nd year
GPA: 3.533
Units: 45, with 17 more currently under way and roughly 14 in the spring
EC's: DECA state champion in high school
Applying to Whitman as a Marketing major

I am also wondering if applying as a dual major between Whitman/Newhouse would decrease my chances of acceptance. Thanks guys.

I have no idea your chances. I think it is easier to get in for the spring semester if that helps...

I appreciate your reply but transferring in the spring is not really an option for me right now. Thanks for the insight though.

it is my understanding that when transferring with only a year of college under your belt, they'll want to see your high school credentials,ie, SATs/ACTs, etc. some competitve schools ask for these even beyond a year of college. so if you list this info, it may help others to better answer you.

Thank you for your tip, however, I'm applying for junior standing and since I have more than 30 units currently and will have over 60 by the time the enrollment period begins Syracuse does not require high school information to be included.

Easier to get in for the Spring Semester? Could you explain?

I am looking to transfer as well.

I dont know if it is suppose to be easier to transfer in the spring. I did get called today and I was accepted. I am transferring from Penn State.

Penn State what? University Park or a branch campus?
