Although I'm extremely happy at the current university that offered me such wonderful opportunities for friendships and academics, I feel I donot get enough competition and challenge from here to take myself to the next level. So I'm planning to transfer as a junior and I'll be sending out my applications during 2007-2008 school year. Here is my story.

I have a pathetic high school record mostly because I used to cut classes when i was a sophomore. That year, I ended up with 13 Fs, which made me stay in high school for 5years.

However, the last two years were successful. I was ranked in top 3% for junior year and #5 in 600 students school for my senior year alone.

In my senior year, I have participated in AIME and won a state award for a well-known competition. (This won me a trip to D.C. and a dinner with World Bank people

One of the strenghts I have is my senior year AP Exam record, having taken five courses and self studied three, I had six 5s and 2 4s.

Also, I have two months of work experience during summer (300hours) at CPA's office and two months of internship at prestigious I-Banking firm which amounts to almost 500hours.

My overall courseload is the toughest that is available in college and I managed 14 As in just two semesters.

I have outstanding recommendations and a metaphorical essay (worked on this probably for a year) which I'm sure is far different from overused typical 'I have changed' essays.

With that said, If I manage a total of 21credits all with As, do you think I have a shot at following schools? Please copy and paste the name of universities and offer your opinions on my chance. The list of the colleges is by no means where I plan to apply, but I just want to use your opinion as an indicator to see where I stand.

Of these, I guess I'm applying only to U of Chicago, Dartmouth, Northwestern, and NYU. (arranged in the order of preference)

*Can you please provide specific but concise reasons for any Top Reach or Reachs you have given? I'll thankfully use your advice as a guideline and market myself better to overcome that conflict. Constructive criticism of any kind is gladly appreciated. Thank you.

Also, what other schools have competetive business programs?

For business you should definitely be looking into UPenn's Wharton School

As far as chancing you goes, I'm not really sure because you are in a rather unique situation...bad HS record but excellent late HS/college stats so far.

Most top colleges have lower transfer admissions rates than regular admission rates.

Columbia: 6.4%
UPenn: 12.4% (let's assume Wharton is much lower)
Harvard: 8.1% (and they're actively trying to reduce the # of transfers)
UChicago: 26%
Cornell: 28.2%
Duke: 7.9%
NYU: 20% (Stern would be lower)
JHU: 15%
Dartmouth: 12.6%
UMich: 40% (Ross would be lower)

Just bear that in mind. But your strong college record will go a long way.
