So right now I’m taking a semester off to think about things. I have 39 credits at a university but I am unhappy there. I want to do a fully online Bachelor’s degree at another university, however, I need an AA or 60 credits to transfer into that program. In the past few weeks I applied to a community college and now I have an 8 week course starting in October. I plan to finish the 21 credits or so and get an AA from the community college so that I can transfer to the online program.
Thoughts?
Provided the online program is at a fully regionally accredited college or university, this plan can work. I am a bit curious though. Do they only take transfers with AA or 60 credits? Would you need to apply as a freshman if you have fewer credits than that?
In order to do the fully online program, they require an AA or 60 credits. They don’t allow you to enter that program until you meet one of those requirements. They consider it a “Junior year” program in which you only have 2 years left to obtain the Bachelor’s degree
I was at FIU, currently trying to get my AA from a community college, to transfer to FAU(fully online).
I just wanted to make sure that this doesn’t put a stain on my resume in terms of future employment. I am simply not happy at FIU and am trying to do what I need to do to get into a program I want to be in
Do well in the FAU program, and no one will care where you spent your first two years.
