Transfer trying to get into UMBC

Hi all,

I’m a maryland resident who just finished his freshman year at Towson University. I want to transfer into UMBC, mostly for my major and friends.

I applied to UMBC regular admission.

I finished off the year with a 3.371 gpa with 27 credit hours.(Straight A’s for the second semester.)
I did have to send in my high school credentials because i have under 30 credit hours. I had a 3.0 in high school, with a 1590 SAT score. Was involved in clubs at towson.
Just want to know what my chances are.

They accept about 80% of transfer applicants. Your SAT might be a bit low, but I’d say it is a match.
