I am transferring from a CCC to UC Davis for the fall and it looks like I have more than the 105 max quarter unit cap, so anything past that doesn’t count for the 225 unit cap at Davis, right? Also, how strict are they on the 225 unit cap, I will make an appointment for the summer plan my classes, but my first major is in the Agriculture school and I would like to add a second major in Anthropology in addition to continuing Chinese language and taking 2 extra classes, this would put me at around 250 units (including the 105 transferring). As long as I still get this done in two years, do you think I could get it approved when I talk to advising?
If youre only at a ccc you can take as many units as you like. They just cap the transfer # to 105. The rest you get subject credit.
Thank you! Do you know if they ever approve units over the 225 unit cap as long as they are all done in time?
Davis says this for 4-year students in Letters and Science
The equivalent rule for a transfer would be take all you want if you can finish it 2 years. You need to check with Davis to see if that is their actual rule, and be sure to mention you are in the college of Agriculture and not L&S.
Thank you!
