[Transfer] What are my chances for UF? FSU?

Hi! I want to know my chances for getting accepted to UF’s biology department (CLAS). UF is my top choice, although I understand their bio department is highly competitive. I finished my AA and am applying for Spring 2016 to transfer into my junior year.

My GPA: 3.62
Pre-req GPA: 3.48
Extracurricular: I helped a marine research group, I volunteer working with endangered animals, I work at a veterinary clinic.

I understand that looks fine as an applicant, nothing outstanding like the 3.8-4.0 applicants with outstanding ECs I see on here. I included in my application that I had clinical depression that made my grades plummet (I had a 2.5 GPA at the end of my second semester) and I dropped out the following semester. I came back and my GPA slowly rose and I received a 4.0 GPA my last 3 semesters.
Will UF be understanding of that and why my GPA (and especially my pre-req GPA) isn’t all that great? Will I have a better chance for FSU or USF? If UF rejects me, what is the next best school for a bio major?

When did you apply? I applied on the same day that you posted this thread and I feel as if i may have applied a tad bit late.

If you applied for Spring 2016 then you’re fine. I think I applied the same day I posted this too?

So if you’re for CLAS, you still have until September 15 to apply.
