Transfer with 3.6 High School GPA and 4.0 GPA in College?

I'm currently attending a small community college. I had 3.6 in high school and 4.0 in college. I wonder how much the low GPA will hurt my chances of transferring to a highly ranked college? Though I've explored different areas, since my sophomore year in high school I've wanted to be a nurse and help people.

If you can, please, please tell me my chances of transferring to my dream schools!! Many, Many Thanks!!

I saw someone with an amazing template so I am going to use it: Hope it's not too much information esp w/ the college part also LOL

Recommendations: Excellent. I can get as many as I need (3 or more?) and expect them to be fantastic.

CommonApp Essay: Not good. I don't know what they are looking for or how to write one, or what event in life I should focus on.

Supplement Essays: Discouraging, especially since I don't know how to write the common one

Additional Information

I have an upward trend from a 3.5 GPA my junior/senior year to a 4.0 GPA my freshman college year.

Unfortunately, I slacked off during high school in the academics department, only taking 1 full AP class and one honors class. I was ranked only in the top 15%. Amazingly, my school had several (5) valedictorians and a salutatorian.

If colleges look at my elementary and middle school record though, which I heard some do, I think they'll be impressed.

I'm not sure how impressive my ECs are, I guess that's why I could use all the help I could get in knowing how I stand in the chance department!!

I'm planning for staying at CC to do my pre-reqs, and I still have to take the TEAS. I think I might start a club next year that is health-based, though I've been told that could be too much pressure w/ my schedule.

So what do you think? How am I doing so far?

No college looks at any schooling below high school.

Your post is so dense it’s hard to find the salient info. Do you have SAT scores?

A 4.0 at a community college will get you far with UCs and CSUs after 2 years. The privates will be tougher. You’ll need good scores and more rigorous course work.

Thanks for answering so promptly Waverly,

In 10th grade I took the PSAT. I scored a mediocre 500-560 each for Math, Reading, and Writing. One of my mistakes in high school was not taking the SATs… I’m going to fix that in college. I think I will take the test this January 28th. Do you know of any online, 5 week intensive courses for SAT prep? Also, how high of SAT scores do I need to obtain for acceptance into my dream schools?

Great, so once I have 60 units and my pre-reqs complete, I could get into UC Irvine with a 4.0.
In the future I will be taking more advances science and math classes. I’ll be taking Physiology, Intro. to Statistics, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Microbiology. The rest of the classes will be humanities, social sciences, ect. Are this classes rigorous enough for private universities?

I know for Georgetown I will need a civics and ethics class, however, my college does not offer one. Would taking the class online at a different college hurt my chances at all?

For Georgetown, JHU and Emory, I’d say minimum 2000, but a 2150 would be more in range. With a 4.0 and tough classes you’d have a good shot at all UCs, no scores needed.
